The Multicultural Association of Canberra (MAC) and the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) successfully hosted a well-attended Child Safety Workshop on 24 May, bringing together childcare professionals, parents, grandparents, and members of the wider community.
The workshop featured an informative presentation on “One Talk at a Time,” a Federal Government initiative focused on preventing child sexual abuse. Participants gained practical guidance on how to have important conversations with children about personal safety and wellbeing.
We extend our sincere thanks to Maab and Salma from Culture Perspective for facilitating the session and providing valuable resources to attendees. We also thank all participating families and childcare staff, the Labor Club for hosting the event, and Udaya for capturing the occasion through photography.
The event concluded with attendees enjoying delicious pizzas and the opportunity to connect with one another in a welcoming community atmosphere.
